All these are the beginning of sorrows’” (Matthew 24:3-8). And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. ![]() For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. See that you are not troubled for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. For many will come in My name, saying, “I am the Christ,” and will deceive many. The Scripture says: “Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’ And Jesus answered and said to them: ‘Take heed that no one deceives you. Jesus had a great deal to say about the end of the age. Some are trying to escape the realities of our world through alcohol or drugs. Some people have become cynics and skeptics others have become mentally unbalanced. Many are now wondering how much more they can endure or how much longer they can carry on before reaching the breaking point. Everywhere people are beginning to show the effects of strain, worry and fear.
